Privacy Policy

JOVON AI ("JOVON", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it when you use jovon.ai.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and name from Google.

Usage data: We track how many prompts you generate per day to enforce plan limits. This data is stored in your account and resets daily.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, buttons clicked, time spent. This data is anonymized and does not include personally identifiable information.

Content you create: We store the prompts you write; the videos, images, audio, music, sound effects, voices, and 3D models you generate; your saved library and characters; and anything you choose to post to the JOVON community feed. This lets us generate, save, and display your work back to you.

Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. JOVON does not store or have access to your full card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create, operate, and manage your account and deliver the features you use
• To generate, store, and display your content back to you, and to enforce plan and credit limits
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests
• To keep the platform safe — moderating content, preventing fraud and abuse, and enforcing our policies
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing)
• To bill you, manage your subscription, and improve the service
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

2a. Operator & Admin Access

JOVON's owner and authorized administrators can access your account data, your generations and prompts, your saved library, and your communications with us when reasonably necessary to provide support, moderate content, investigate fraud or abuse, comply with the law, and operate, maintain, and improve the service. Access is limited to these purposes. We do not sell your content, and we do not use your private prompts or generations to train AI models.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal data to any third party
• We do not use your prompts to train AI models
• We do not share your email with advertisers
• We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent

3a. Content Moderation & Enforcement

To keep the platform safe, content you post publicly (threads, feed posts, comments, uploads, usernames) may be reviewed — automatically or by our team — for violations of our Content & Conduct Policy (no nudity or sexual content, no foul or abusive language, no illegal or harmful content). We retain records of enforcement actions (flags, hides, bans) associated with an account. Accounts banned for violations forfeit access without refund, as described in our Terms & Conditions. Prices, plans, and features may change at any time.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your account data is stored securely via Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption. Usage counts are stored server-side in your account metadata. Anonymous usage (before signup) is tracked in your browser's local storage only and is never sent to our servers.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use Google Analytics cookies to track site usage. These are analytics-only cookies — they do not track you across other websites. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Third-Party Services

JOVON uses the following third-party providers to operate the service, each with their own privacy policies. Each receives only the data needed for its function:

• Supabase — accounts, authentication, and database storage
• Atlas Cloud — AI generation of video, image, and 3D
• FAL — additional AI generation and media processing
• ElevenLabs — AI voice and audio generation
• Stripe — payment processing (JOVON never stores your full card details)
• Resend — transactional and account email delivery
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics

6a. Billing, Plan Changes & Cancellations

Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe; JOVON never stores your full card details. Our plan-change and cancellation policy:

• Upgrades take effect immediately; your monthly plan credits reset to the new plan's allotment, while separately-purchased credit packs carry over.
• Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period, with no mid-cycle charge and no fee.
• Cancellations keep your access until the end of the current paid period, then stop — no refund for the remaining time and no cancellation fee.
• Your billing-period dates, renewal date, and access-until date are shown in your Profile and match the records held by our payment provider; usage is recorded per generation, so everything is transparent and checkable.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Update or correct your account information
• Opt out of analytics tracking

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we retain your associated data — including your generations, prompts, library, and communications — for up to 60 days to handle billing, disputes, abuse investigations, and backups, after which it is permanently purged from our active systems. Residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten on their normal rotation cycle.

9. Children's Privacy

JOVON is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of JOVON after changes means you accept the updated policy.
